Zlatin Sarastov, Partner
Mr. Sarastov graduated in Finance and International Business from the Bulgarian University of National and World Economy in 1993 and obtained a master’s degree in Finance at London Business School in 2000. In 1993 he joined the Bulgarian National Bank where he performed research on risk management practices and assisted the Board of Governors in the preparation of the country’s Capital Adequacy and Loan Classification Regulations until 1994. Between 1994 and 1998 Mr Sarastov advised and helped structure deals as Transaction Manager at Harsev Co in Bulgaria. He has participated in a number of mergers and acquisitions and equity finance transactions in the position of Corporate Finance Associate from 2000 to 2002 at HSBC Investment Bank in London. In 2002 he engaged primarily in private equity as a Corporate Finance Advisor at Aquant Ltd. In 2004 he became Founder and Partner of Amphora Capital – an independent corporate finance and advisory company based in Sofia. In 2005 he was appointed CEO & Accountable Manager at Bulgaria Air EAD where he played an instrumental role in restructuring and developing the market share of the company whilst it was privatised.
After the successful privatisation of the National Carrier he returned to Amphora Capital and heads its corporate and project finance division.
